Do You Ever Stay In Bed All Day?
Do you have to be sick to stay in bed all day?

I didn’t want to leave my bed this morning, although the dogs had other ideas. I let them out, forgoing their morning exercise because, well, 10-degree weather and howling winds. I toyed with the idea of going back to bed and staying there for most of the day because I felt like it.
This wasn’t the first time I’ve wanted to do that, and I’ll wager it won’t be the first time you’ve wanted to do that, either. The question is: how many of you actually do?
I love to read, and the idea of doing nothing all day except reading or watching a good movie sounds like the perfect day. So, why don’t I go ahead and do it? Guilt.
Guilt. It’s about feeling guilty. It’s about feeling like I’m a lazy, worthless slob. It’s not something I would consider if there were chores left from yesterday or if I needed to do the shopping. I would only do it if I had a free day. There it is—a free day.
Still, I feel guilty about lying in bed when I could write an article on Medium about lying in bed all day or about a mysterious radio signal from space.
There, I’ve exhausted my thoughts on this subject and would love to lie down and continue reading my book, but I need to do a workout on my Meta Quest 3 first. I try to do several a day so I don’t get older and fatter, although exercise doesn’t do much for weight loss.
So once I finish my exercise, maybe I’ll lie down although it is a little early. I mean, lying in bed when it’s still light outside? I can’t do it. It makes me feel guilty.
How about you? Do you feel guilty lying in bed all day reading a good book or watching a great movie? Do you, huh? Do you? Let me know in the comments. Maybe they will inspire me to lie down and read a good book.
