Do More Of What You Love

One of my strongest values in life ㅤis to make sure ㅤthat I’m creating enough space, time, and commitment ㅤtowards doing more of what I love.

It’s swift: ㅤthe process of believing that you are, yet ㅤwithout a constant reminder, ㅤㅤto reflect and re-align, ㅤit’s so easy to succumb ㅤto the loud voices ㅤㅤof marketing, of others’ expectations ㅤas they gradually nudge you off ㅤthe path you want.

Today, ㅤI’m committing again ㅤto doing more of what I love, ㅤand creating a sustainable way ㅤfor me to do so.

What about you?

Writing Prompt: do more of what you love

If you choose to reply to this prompt, feel free to tag me in your response so I can read it and share it on social media! Alternatively, feel free to challenge me to a writing prompt yourself and I’ll return a poem to gift to you. It can be something silly, something serious, something wild, or something absolutely mundane. Let your imaginations go wild.

Hi, I’m Lucy Dan 蛋小姐 (she/her/她) and I wrote this in response to suddenly realizing that a lot of my other life commitments were eating away at my true joy of writing. Little chores and tasks for school and work are creeping into my morning writing time. It’s so easy to give up that time. It’s so easy to say, “yes, I’ll quickly do this 5-minute task as I wrap up early on this personal journalling time”. Yet, over time, it can add up to so much, especially if I’m not giving myself this space to rejuvenate. So, I wanted to set this reminder for my future self, and for you, dear reader. Are you still doing what you wanted to do? Is what you’re doing still aligned with your goals?
