Do Introverts Fail At Marketing?

Basic and traditional marketing doesn’t seem like a thing for introverts.
But on the internet. Sources don’t seem to agree with it.
Me being an introvert and a digital marketer. In the beginning, I didn’t think that an introvert can be a good marketer.
This is because I thought marketing was all about various sales tactics and cold calling. All the time you’re working with a group of men and women on the campaigns for your clients. Later getting back to clients.
This is what I imagined in a day of a marketer.
This exists, But it’s not what it seems!
I am a digital marketer. So I don’t need to interact and talk with a bunch of people every day. Most of my working days pass smoothly.
But even though I do have those days. Where it’s all about meetings and cold calling people. Most of that day goes into listening to what other people are talking about.
I go through such days. But I don’t feel like I am struggling through the meetings and the casual talks.
It’s because I get to discuss my work and grab a few valuable insights. This is what I love.
I don’t consider myself a ‘full-fledged’ traditional marketer. But I feel people like me can bring in some positives being a marketer
Introvert’s Edge in Marketing

So what advantages do Introverts have in marketing?
1. Introverts can develop healthy relationships with their clients
I know what you are thinking.
What? Introverts, Clients but how?
I can say that Introverts won’t be comfortable in their first meets. But once they establish a connection with someone and it goes deeper.
Even though introverts don’t interact with too many people. The only a few people who they interact with are very close and build a trust bond between them.
Building that trust between your clients and the company is what everybody wants.
2. Introverts work on their strengths
Introverts can help you analyze what is a brand’s strength is. Since they focus on their strengths and give out their outputs.
It’s easy for a company to lose track of its main USP (User Selling Point) in the whole sales process.
This is where Introverts can connect customer’s satisfaction based on a brand’s strengths.
3. Introverts Listen!
There is no surprise that Introverts love to listen.
In marketing where you get to grasp. So much data and information from people.
It is important that you listen and analyze.
‘What has been said’ and ‘What has to be done’ is important for someone to be a good marketer.

So Does That Mean Introverts Are Great Marketers?

I wanna share my views here.
Success in a particular field solely depends upon the individual.
This article is to share that ‘Being an Introvert shouldn’t limit someone’.
It’s not that extroverts can excel at everything. Even extroverts can’t be good at marketing all the time.
Having both introverts and extroverts simultaneously in marketing is what works the best.
Lastly, I wanna say
The success doesn’t depend upon a single trait. It depends on your efforts and dedication towards something.
If you love what you’re doing and you’re happy with it. Then you will continue to succeed.
