For me, it’s always been a dream occupation — being a great writer. It's always something so mysterious about this profession that always interested me to pursue it one day.

Why you may ask?

Only because of the fact that this has always been one of my passions to write and be creative to be able to create a unique masterpiece in my own way of telling a story or a mission statement. When I was younger I use to write and write until my hand got sore. Read, and read until my eyes closed. When I write I want to tell you everything as much as I can and make the story come to life. It's what really makes a great writer tell a story for all those to read and feel like if they were part of it.

Coming up with a Unique Idea

Sometimes it's hard to come up with a unique idea or something original. In order to get that idea to be able to write we look at someone else's work and see if we can get some type of inspiration. I don't think it’s a bad thing, I think this is how we learn to capture and imagine why they may have written that piece and then later creating our own version of something new and dominating it to something like no other. Being able to create your own unique ideas doesn't mean go copy someone else's. Great writers take bits and pieces to make one whole masterpiece for us to enjoy.

Discovering Medium

Finding Medium couldn't have come in the perfect timing. Finding this site has made feel motivated and giving me more reasons to write and express everything that will come to mind. It’s never too late to start something you love or dream of. Opportunities will always be there but you have to really push for it to find them. I have no writing degree background what so ever and have never been the best speller in my writing. But we have tools now to helps us, and that shouldn't stop us from learning and getting the right resources to do this. The fact that I can write and express on this platform for many to read and enjoy my short stories and thoughts makes me feel I’m not alone and we have something in common, We LOVE to write. It’s even more amazing to me that it's possible to have an opportunity to make money off writing. Who would have thought that was possible? Even being able to make money off this, for me that doesn't even matter. Because I love to write and I want people to enjoy what I have written and share it for thousands to look at and enjoy, that's the best opportunity I will take advantage of as long as I can!

In Conclusion

It gives me so much joy to find a place like Medium to be able to write, connect with so many talented writers, and grow — unlike no other platform I have seen on the internet at this point in my lifetime. I just discovered it a few weeks ago and was scared to write my first piece to share with so many out there and like I said:” I have always wanted to write and now I can pour my heart out” thanks to Medium. This will be forever my favorite platform to express and share everything I can as long as I can. Writing may not be my degree but able to share and connect with many is the best feeling a writer can cherish in my opinion.
