Discipline
Poetry inspired by Gurpreet Dhariwal
Hello everyone. This time, I got an injection of inspiration from Gurpreet Dhariwal with one of her latest pieces:
I loved her closing line especially, which is why this piece starts with the same words. It’s the most simple rhyme scheme I could have thought of, but I just let it come out as it happened. So I hope you enjoy!
Do or die Sink or swim Not backing down Not giving in I shut you out Please let me in I fill my cup Up to the brim There is no try I fight to win Not on my knees I start to spin It’s not the end Now I begin You struck me hard I should repent Not on my watch I start again You put me down You wear me thin But I shall show True discipline This raging fire held within Will be your doom I shed my skin
