Digital littering without borders?
Just as entire industries profited from selling people useless products and turning resources into waste, today computer and game manufacturers and the media, video, and entertainment industries profit from filling people’s brains with useless content.
Unfortunately, the path to rational information has also become blurred in the news, where editorial news about the content of crime stories now flows smoothly into gossip of all kinds. Stars and other celebrities, were only invented in the 1940s.
