Did I ever stop writing…

Non-members can read this poem for free using my friend link.

Did I ever stop writing if the words came to me by themselves,

even if I didn’t write them on the paper like I used to

but I left them to wonder in my mind,

thinking I would easily forget them…

Did I ever stop writing if words and rhymes

were falling into place in my head whenever I saw

something beautiful, funny, sad, or nostalgic,

trying to ignore them, thinking they no longer held

any important meaning and couldn’t help anyone who read them…

Did I ever stop writing if I thought about writing

in my dreams and reality,

even though I no longer dared to express my thoughts on paper

as I used to,

feeling scared that someone else might misinterpret them…

Did I ever truly stop writing If I was waiting for the moment

when I would take the pencil in my hand again,

share fragments of myself with you,

like I used to do,

without thinking about what others think,

but only how to find myself

once again…
