They never expected Trump to win

It would be interesting to know if people actually did move away from the United States of America after Donald Trump was elected in 2016. There were many who could see the writing on the wall and had threatened to leave if he won. The famous people who said it apparently did not carry out their plans. Whether other ordinary citizens moved is probably not known.

People who made that threat to leave did so with the feeling that Trump was a terrible candidate. They thought there was no way that he could ever win the Presidency of the United States. They felt that it would be a disaster if he won. They considered it safe in saying publicly that they would move away because they did not think it could happen.

Trump himself has repeatedly said that no one expected him to win.

The country has lasted through four years of Trump. Some of his staunch Republican followers think he has done a good job. Most Republicans in Congress stick by him. Democrats basically think he has been a disaster. They say he has brought division and destruction to the nation.

Now it is only a matter of days before we know if Trump will get a second term or if voters will choose a different path by electing Joe Biden to be President. The campaign season has been heated and hateful.

Trump has been his usual self with bullying, lies, and threats. He has been prolific in his name calling and baseless accusations. Still, most of his followers do not leave him in spite of anything he does or says. It does not matter to them that he is totally disrespectful of others.

With all the books published against him, he has had possibly more than his share of active opponents who do not want him to be reelected. It seems that he has deserved the insults aimed at him.

Now another election is upon us,and Trump is running again.

You don’t hear a lot of people saying they will leave the United States if Trump wins again although it might be tempting for some people. Having him as President has been a challenge for many people.

Joe Biden is clearly the better choice for President. He has the temperment, experience, care, compassion, and commitment necessary to do a great job.
