British Slang & a New Boy In School

Dear Diary,
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much happened at school today.
Like, I know we’ll never be in the “popular” crowd, but I gotta say — for not being what the “popular” kids think is “popular,” we are getting a pretty big crowd.
Here is who was at our lunch table today:
- Me
- Preeti
- G
- Sally
- Janet
- Susan
- Ade
- Bernice
- This new kid that lives on Ade’s street named Bicho (the kid, not the street) (he seems pretty cool for a kid with a strange name)
- Smillew
- David P.
- Rodrigo
Like. THAT’s a big table, I’m sorry! I mean — if our table is bigger than the “quote” popular kid’s table, doesn’t that REEEEEEEALLY make US the popular kids?? Riddle me this, batman. Or is it that? Whatevers.
Then, get this…..Sue and Sue walked by hanging all over Kristina like she was some kind of GOD. I get that she’s the most popular kid in school and all, but they looked like the wicked witch’s evil monkeys. Frankly, I don’t know how Kristina can even stand it. She’s not even mean like the rest of them — and she’s the most popular of them ALL. Anyways, as they went past us, Janet yelled out in a fake voice, “Oooooh, Kristiiiiina, please let us stick our noses up your a-hole!”
We. SCREEEEEEEEEEEAMED. laughing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sue D. called Janet a b-word, but they totally scampered away. Leave it to Janet!
AND GUESS WHAT?
Tomorrow for St. Patrick’s Day a bunch of us are going to the movies!
I think it’s going to be me and Sally, Preeti, Smillew, Susan, Ade, and Bicho. Well, maybe Bicho. He says he has a sore throat. David doesn’t think his mom will let him go, Bernice has piano lessons, and G and Rodrigo are trying out for the softball team. (???) (Weird.)
We’re going to see the movie Splash! I can’t wait. It looks SO GOOD!!!!!!!!!!
OH! OH! OH! Sally’s parents said I could stay over!!! I’m so excited. They moved here from England and have totally awesome accents. I think her older brother is soooooooo cute. I can’t wait to practice my British slang on her family. Here are some words I learned from Smash Hits Magazine:

I really need to keep practicing my British accent if I’m going to marry Duran Duran.
Anyways, sorry for the novel! I better go pack for Sally’s. WOOHOO!
Ta-Ta!
Me (aka Mrs. Nick Rhodes) (although I’m kinda liking John lately. Hmmmmm.)
