Determining Our Fate ~ Rune Divination for 11 March 2021

Othala, Perthro, Mannaz comprise today’s rune divination surrounding who determines our fate.
Again, our shared traditions and legacy are impacted by whether our individual and collective fate is governed by ego or Higher Self awareness. The divination today acknowledges that truth.
Othala represents our legacy, shared tradition, and the Akashic Record of our soul’s experience in physical form. As the twenty-fourth rune, Othala ends not only the Elder Futhark, but consolidates all that we’ve learned into a shared tradition with others. It represents prosperity and inheritance, along with security and peace and blends the energies of undeveloped potential found in Inguz and the balanced energy exchange of Gebo. From there, the light of Spirit is reflected in Kenaz expressing its will throughout the rune.
Mannaz describes the self within society and the integrated path we’re on with each other. It incorporates the flow of Laguz, the balanced energy exchange of Gebo, new beginnings with Dagaz, and the fellowship and joy found with Wunjo. In short, Mannaz describes integration between self and others.
Lastly, Perthro defines our fate, or at least who control that fate. Will our fate be controlled by the Norns or is our fate truly controlled by each one of us? Perthro illustrates the cup from which the runes are drawn and the well of knowledge. Open to the right, Perthro describes the womb, childbirth, healing, and new beginnings. To the left it describes completion, endings, and death. Awareness of cause and effect and synchronicity is Perthro’s fundamental expression and suggests that it’s through our own perceptions that our fate is determined.
It’s easy to cast blame on others or on situations that we perceived as beyond our control. While it may be true that circumstances outside our control can indeed govern our choices, it’s really how we see things, that determines our inner control.
So…do we perceive our existence through the lens of a reactive ego, or from the purity of Spirit?
Blessings to all!
