Destroyed Certainty

I will never hurt — A traumatic love poem

When the preventable is hidden, and the experience is stretch out. Along comes a witness that destroys my truth with the hard truth. No time to process the scream that became a whisper. Love is the game we are forced to play with complementary heartache.

Where is the blame when the forgiveness never listens? Where is the slayer for the executioner?

Lost and alone with a headstone for my heartache. The decaying purity. The destroyed certainty. The traumatic truth oversights all necessary lies. I want to hammer the preventable thoughts out of tomorrow. The flames of anguish will not burn my replaying words “I will protect you”
