Destroy Green Bay!

Don Trump rates that as an A+

Not joking. Don Trump, as the head of the federal government, is willing to write off a hundred thousand Americans — the population of the city of Green Bay, Wisconsin, home of the Packers — and claims that would be a very good job.

Excuse me, Mister President, but no.

China beat Covid-19 with 3 300 deaths. With a population four times as great as America’s, a very good result for Don Trump would be something under 400 deaths, keeping all in proportion.

As I write, America’s Covid-19 death toll stands at 2 500, something already over six times what might be considered a win.

And yet the leader of the nation sees one death every five minutes night and day for a year as being a roaring success.

I cannot conceive of a year full of ongoing grief and horror as being something to celebrate.

A hundred thousand dead. That’s more than the total American dead and missing from the Korean and Vietnam wars combined. In anybody’s book, that is a tragic result.
