Desperate Putin Decrees Martial Law
Three levels of security measures applied across Russia

Reuters is reporting that Putin has decreed martial law in the illegally annexed areas of Ukraine, with additional security measures to be applied across the Russian Federation.
Further, there is trouble brewing for him in Central Asia.
Sensing that Russia has been weakened by its war in Ukraine, some of its closest allies in Central Asia are displaying a newly assertive streak. — Reuters
Clearly, he’s under pressure and the Russian people — even in Moscow — will now be exposed to further realities of his mis-adventure in Ukraine.
In those regions close to the border with Ukraine, such as Belgorod, Bryansk, Krasnodar and Rostov regions, as well as in annexed Crimea… the decree also envisages restrictions on the movement of traffic, as well as on entry into and exit from these regions. — BBC
