Depression is the Disease of The Century. Here’s How to Stay Away From it

I saw a statistic this morning that 1 in 10 people are diagnosed with depression which simply shocked me. I’m thinking that this number is much higher considering that not everyone realizes that they suffer from depression so they go to the doctor and get diagnosed.
In my opinion the main causes for depression are TV, social networks and stressful jobs that don’t allow you to enjoy your life anymore. You come to believe that life is created only by problems, which is the first step towards depression. Remember how much depression increased in the pandemic when you saw only negative news, and now with the war that if you turn on the TV is closer than ever on any continent in the world.
What we need to understand is that no matter what problems come we can’t do anything about it so it’s best to stay away from negative information. Instead of staying on social networks or TV go to the gym at least an hour a day, try to read at least 30 minutes and don’t forget to meditate at least 15 minutes a day. This will keep you away from depression.
If it is the job that is causing your depression because yes it is possible and I have been there myself then the best option is to start looking for another company. Even if it seems quite hard to break away from your current company and you think that everywhere is like that, it’s good to know that there are companies in the world where the employee really matters. The important thing is to have the courage to take the decision and to search until you find a company that you like.
