The world has grown so furious around us. Human beings have lost their metal in this in the age of technology. Today, we are surrounded by devices that have deeply marred our emotional patterns and changed society in its nature. We are faced with various problems caused by this newly developed phenomenon. The conflict of being alone tears the individual, and nothing is charming left for us in the whole wide world.

Images from social media apps are the source of connection and expression of exclamations. With all its associated ailments, capitalism had made this world the world of enslaved people. The revolution in information technology has cocooned humans in their cells.

There is an extensive list of friends on Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, and Instagram, and there is someone for us to laugh with, talk with, or even weep with when the occasion arises. This problem has caused the most significant dilemma of the 21st century, mental health. Today many of us (whatever our status and society) face this problem, mainly known as depression.

Depression has become perhaps the biggest enemy of humanity around us. We, the people, have become straightforward prey to this ferocious and killing ailment. Conflicts and weaknesses tear humanity. Most of us find ourselves alone and helpless, and the problem is causing coldness and cruelty in society everywhere. There is no one around us who can cater to our emotional needs, and mostly we find solutions in drugs, both allopathic and contrabands.

Mental depression is a global problem, but in many areas of the globe, it is unfortunately considered a non-issue in third-world countries. In such places, it results in many catastrophic events that shake the fabric of society itself.

My aim in writing this piece of writing is to get my reader’s attention to the nature of this problem and to provide some remedial measures to cope with this big issue of today. This article aims to benefit those having this problem themselves or seeking help for their near and dear ones.

Physical Health

In the words of famous Greek scholar Aristotle;

“A healthy mind is aboard of a healthy body.”

This maxim has seen its practical implementation in the society laid on the foundation of physical fitness and chivalry by the Spartans centuries ago.

To curb this element from the threshold, one needs to be very vigilant about their eating habits. Always prefer a simple, fresh, and nutritious diet over junk and frozen food.

In most cases, the stomach plays a pivotal role while assessing the causes of depression. Poor digestion results in depression, as the latest medical research has proved that the body produces so many harmful hormones in such cases.

Mental Health

To keep good mental health, one ought to change their attitude. A positive attitude costs nothing but pays you a lot. People hailed from every walk of life lack this much-needed attitude.

In everyday affairs, we think negatively about many things and for nothing. By thinking positively, we can make something relatively more accessible for us.

The vital connection between physical and mental health.

There is a strong connection between mental and physical health. A good diet, physical exercise, and other workouts can help us develop good mental health.

If we spend our time aimlessly and there is nothing serious to do, we will very soon be easy prey to this sickness. After a certain period, if the issue remains unresolved, it will become more and more complex. In some cases, it destroys the life of the victim and many others associated with them.

Spiritual Connections and Inner Calmness.

“I close my eyes to see” — Paul Gauguin.

In the rat race of modern civilization, where the whole world is in the Shackles of materialism, it is advisable to connect spiritually with religious dogmas, Mysticism, Humanity, or even with your pet. Inner calmness is the byproduct of spirituality.

It is advisable to connect with Nature with its soothing and calming effects. Nature is like your mother’s lap; with its healing effects, it can absorb so many of your stresses into it. Closeness with Nature in any way is the best healing process for depression.

Conclusion

Conclusively speaking, my aim for writing this article is to highlight this modern world problem and provide simple and workable solutions for the benefit of the readers. Human beings have many hidden powers, many of which remain unexplored in the life span on this earth.

If we try to break the natural course of life, Nature strikes back at us immediately. We should play with Nature and not against it. All we get to do is identify our place in the world and act appropriately.
