Dense Fog and Snow Squalls in Ohio
Sharing photos of the last few days

It snowed overnight in Northwest Ohio. We heard the wind blowing during the night, but we stayed warm in bed. We woke up this morning to the view in the main photo above.
Between the warm days and cold nights mixed with the cold days and warm nights, the weather can’t make up its mind.

A few days ago, the air was warmer and caused some foggy mornings. The fog over the pond gave the backyard an eeriness I hadn’t seen in a long time.

School was delayed for the grandkids, and they came running out to the camper for breakfast one morning with Grandma and Grandpa.

Scrambled eggs with onion and tomato and a Cutie orange on the side for a breakfast win.

The snowfall made a beautiful scenery, especially before the snow got all messed up with footprints and paw prints. Additionally, the cumulus clouds in the deep blue sky added character and depth to the landscape.

The property here is surrounded by pine trees, oak trees, and maple trees, which house tons of Cardinals, Blue Jays, and House Finches. The tallest tree in the far back corner houses a bald eagle once in a while as he checks the pond for fish when it is not iced over.

Funny, not funny…I swore this was a few Blue Jays in the bushes, so I quickly got out my camera and snapped a few zoomed-in shots. When I came inside and extra zoomed to view the birds I laughed at myself when I discovered it was just dead brown leaves that never let go and fell off the branch.

But I did find a nest nearby, so thinking those were birds wasn’t totally crazy.

I saw these cat-crossing signs at a corner stop sign the other day and thought it was cute. You know I had to take a picture of it.

News flash — We are moving from the 2003 RV towing a car into a nice newer 2019 pull-behind camper towed behind a diesel pickup truck. That’s a story for its own sake, but wherever I hang this sign is home.

There were a few things I wanted and a lot of things I needed for the camper, so we went to the Big Lots store. I found the perfect wall decor for an empty wall in the bedroom.

I love this print, and it adds character and hominess to an otherwise blah bedroom wall, don’t you think?

After Big Lots, Rich took me out for supper. The local city of Van Wert, Ohio, opened a new restaurant just off Highway 30 by the Walmart Supercenter.

The Beer Barrel Pizza & Grill was busy, so we sat at the bar. I give this new place four stars only because they need more workers to fill the tables. The wait was an hour while tables sat empty.
I don’t understand how this has been such a problem across America since Covid.

On the drive home, the full moon was gorgeous, and I put my window down to snap a picture. I am not a professional photographer. The nighttime timer kicked on for 3 seconds as we were moving, and this is the photo I got.
It didn’t turn out too bad, I thought. It looks kind of neat.
It’s been a few crazy busy days here in Ohio, with me helping my mother most of the time and trying to move from a 38-foot RV into a 32-foot camper, organizing and figuring out where everything goes, plus a little downsizing again.
Life is definitely an adventure for us, and we are always up for whatever the day holds.
I hope you enjoyed the photos I have shared. Stay tuned for more adventures to come.
