Demystifying the failure myth: There is no such thing as failure. Only learning experiences

Are you tired of taking action? You are tired of working things out to be successful, and things are not going the way you expect them to, and you think of yourself as a failure? Are you tired of taking initiatives and things have fallen apart? Well, no need to be because there is no such thing as failure! All are learning and making discoveries about how to do things. And if you will be honest with yourself, you will agree that each time you have tried something, and it did not work out, you had something equally significant. It could be an idea on how to go about that thing or something new that took you to a new level altogether.

Take people who you admire and have a lot of reverence for and look up to and study their stories carefully. You will discover that every one of these people talks about the fact that they are successful because they have failed many times. And if these people that you look up to on your journey to success, are successful because of failure, then what is the point of believing there is something like a failure and hating it and being hard on yourself when things do not go or happen like the way you want them to.

Instead, what you must do is to embrace the disappointment and see the silver lining in it and find out how you can use it for your good. Because in this life, things happen. Some are good and the others, bad. Some happen for our good while the others, to teach us lessons. After all, what we even describe as failure is but someone’s philosophy of what success is all about. That, if what we are doing does not meet the definition of success of these people, they describe it as a failure. Therefore, rather than living under the belief system of the world, why don’t you for once create your belief system and live under it to help you stop being hard on yourself and being who you are not supposed to be because of someone’s belief of what success is all about. That, if you do not live up to, you are a failure. In the same spectrum, I do not encourage you not to work hard and live beyond average but what I am saying is that; live life according to your rhythm instead of that of society.

For society portray success as having fame, cars, mansions, materials etc. which is not bad if you have them. But, try not to let these things be your definition of success and be hard on yourself in pursuit of them.

Success, for me, is all about accomplishment. It is about setting your mind to something and taking the right action and achieving it. Still, most importantly, it is all about having the time, financial, geographical, health and the emotional freedom to do the things that, you love to do with the people that you love. Because trust me; things are getting out of hand! The modern society and what it portrays as success is making many people become paralyzed emotionally and physically, limiting everything to the material. That, if you do not get to acquire those materials, you are a failure.

There is no such thing as failure, and if there is, it is from your definition. Because, even those that we describe as failures, in their minds are not failures. They believe they are living the best of their lives, and they do not see anything as failure around them.

The good cars, mansions, private jets and all the luxurious things are great to have in this life but do not constitute success either and do not bring fulfilment. There are plenty of people out there with plenty of these material kinds of stuff, yet feel unfulfilled. Why is it so? Because success in life does not come from those things, although they matter. Ideally, it is about the time, emotional, financial, geographical and health freedom and if you want to doubt this, ask everyone with these material kinds of stuff. They will tell you; it is all about fulfilment from one’s actions. So stop being hard on yourself with the idea of doing whatever it takes to acquire these things to look successful because, after having it all, you will not feel successful. Instead, work hard on not been average either but to have the time, emotional, financial, geographical and health freedom. That is all success is all about.

There is no such thing as failure. All are learning and discovering new ways of doing things.
