Deliverance
A Poem — Prompt — BodyShameRebellion
Shout out and thanks to Ashley Evenson for the prompt.
Too often we find ourselves ridiculed just because we don’t conform. Well, conformity is overrated.
Is it a crime to look different?
A crime to be different?
A crime to like different?
Somebody always has something to say.
Hate begets hate. Fear begets fear. I don’t want to conform. I refuse to be tucked away.
Deliverance
Crack my shell Don’t repel Take me out This roundabout Free my sins From within Nurture me dear Spill me cure For I am sick Trying to mimic Society’s way Day after day
