Deliverance
There was silence in the end

My heart is broken Stamped to pieces Blown to bits
It did not just shatter It turned into fine dust My heart, like a mist
But the dust and the mist They didn’t settle They started swirling
In my head and around me Slowly at first And then faster
Faster, faster My heart, nothing but dust Began to surround me
Like a vortex Swirling and churning Roiling, turbulent
Closing in on me Those shattered particles Entering every pore
The maelstrom engulfing me now Sucking me in Deeper and deeper
Darkness and doom Couldn’t fight anymore Couldn’t breathe
The vortex that was my heart Had played its part Crushing me to the bones
After the storm Comes the calm Silence, deliverance
