Delighted To See I Have My First Hater on Medium!

Why would I be happy about this?

I was just minding my own business on Saturday, leaving inoffensive and thoughtful comments on Medium articles I had read when I noticed I had gained my first hater. I can’t call them a troll because it was one comment with a nasty, mocking tone.

I was elated! I truly believe that if you’re not getting hate, you’re staying in the shadows too much. That’s all part of being active on social platforms and the more time I spend here, the most obvious it is to me that Medium is not just about blogging. It’s about interacting.

I look forward to more criticism and provocative comments. It means I’m being seen.
