Delectable Dreams
A poem

When I close my eyes I step into a world Not of this place
A world so serene With tranquil waters And a magnificent sky
Where I would float Peacefully above Admiring the view
As I follow The loyal lunar guide On a voyage
Across the watery plains Of my windless mind To a locality
Deep inside The endless realm Of my subconscious
Where fantasy And imagination Merge
To make reality Seem so distant And absurd
With its charade of Physical constraints Of verisimilitude
While I descend Further into that Delectable delta
As my heartbeat Slows to an Adagio pace
To tell me I’ve Arrived at that Special place
