Defining You

How can I define you? You’re a mystery I want to solve A question I want to answer How will I define you? There’s solitude in your aloneness There’s serenity in your silence How can I define you? There’s sadness in your humor There’s a struggle in your peace But why should I define you? Because your shadow Even in darkness, haunts me.

Most of the time I see my younger self in you. That’s how I want to define you.

But sometimes, you have a restlessness that unsettles the calmness in me.

You confuse and worry me.

At my lowest point, I don’t let sadness crumbles me.

I don’t let weakness overwhelm my strength.

I know you will too.

I have faith in you.
