Deep Dive Prompt… What if?
Another writing prompt by Subhi Najar

I have been enjoying the writing prompts posed by Subhi Najar. They always spark a lot of thought. If you would like to join in this week’s prompt, you can find the link here:
1. If you had three superpowers, what would they be?
Invisibility, of course. That should come standard for writers. No more making couples in cafés feel uncomfortable as we watch them chatting, inventing dialogue in our heads for our next story.
Teleportation would be a lot of fun. Here to there in a heartbeat. No need to book a flight or pay for excess luggage. Count me in!
Healing power like Deadpool. Lose a limb, grow it back.
How cool is that?
Although to be honest, I am more likely to need to heal a papercut or grow back a broken fingernail, but a nice superpower to have up your sleeve, eh?
2. If you could meet three celebrities of all time, who would you choose?
This is a really tough question. There are so many possibilities. I think I would like to meet Jane Austen. I love her wit and feminism.
Geoffrey Robertson, the human rights barrister and author would be on my list. And Eleanor Roosevelt, pacifist, and human rights activist. Although, if you ask me tomorrow, I may pick a different three.
3. If your life were a novel, what would be its title?
Confessions of an anxious introvert.
4. If your heart were chocolate, what kind of chocolate would it be?
Dark chocolate Turkish delight. Plain and no-nonsense on the outside, but soft as jelly inside.

5. If life were a dream, what would you do?
I would imagine a world where there was no hate. We would all be of the same family (as we actually are) and stop judging each other and using constructed social norms like race, gender, and sexuality to try to divide us. What a world!
Well, you did say a dream.
6. If you had Aladdin`s lamp, what would be your three wishes?
Well, see no. 5. That would take care of war, racism, terrorism, and misogyny. I’d be pretty happy with that.
Then, maybe we could fix the environment we have all stuffed up. And share the world’s wealth a bit more equally. There, that’s three!
Not much to ask.
7. If calories did not exist in life, would you still eat healthily?
Yes, most of the time. I like a treat as much as anyone, but I always feel my body tells me when I am short on nutrition and I do really like healthy food.
8. If you were offered three free airplane tickets to three different destinations, which would you choose?
Wow, Subhi, you do ask the hard questions! England, to catch up with my extended family. Greece, because it looks gorgeous and I have never been there. And New Zealand, because it is our nearest neighbour and I have not seen it yet.
9. If you had to choose between a cup of happiness or a river of hope, which would you prefer?
A river of hope. No question.
10. If you could make one decision to change the world, what would it be?
See no. 5. What a world that would be!
