Deck the Halls With Boughs of Jolly

Time to give love and laughter, and not more electric lights to the Holidays

We need to protect and save more trees

To do this, turn down the excess, please

Enough with being so pushy while shopping

It’s time now, that over-consumption is stopping

There may be a living tree out your window

Be grateful for the breath that such trees bestow

Don’t try to outshine your neighbors with lights

Or big plastic snow people or pretty paper that blights

Don’t try to out-cook, out-perform, or out-buy

Be grateful, instead, you can stay warm and dry

LOOK instead, to making someone melancholy…

…Smile. And deck the halls with boughs of jolly.
