The festive season is around the corner. December’s Writing Prompt is, “Under the Christmas Tree”. Write a poem, article, or short story, related to this prompt, publish it anywhere and just remember to tag me, @Warren Brown ( I will appear as Warren “Storyteller” Brown)

I have written two short stories related to this prompt. The first, very short story is about the body found under the Christmas tree and the second short story is about the lost letter that was found under the Christmas tree.

As a child and teenager, it was always exciting to see what gift lay under the Christmas tree. As a child and teenager, I remember finding a pair of skates in a parcel, then there was a book on the adventures of Sherlock Holmes, a collection of Hardy Boys novels.

As a teenager, I recall receiving a collection of James Bond novels, a DVD box set of Westerns, and a collection of fantastic graphic novels. As an adult, I remember receiving an art set and a camera from my wife, neatly wrapped and placed under the Christmas tree with love and festive cheer.

What have you found or placed for friends and family members to find, under the Christmas tree? Most of us have some special memories related to this festive season. We look forward to hearing your stories with this December writing prompt, “Under the Christmas tree”.
