Debunking Donald Trump’s Lies and False Claims. 3 Years Later.
Lies are contagious. It’s time to read up on history as Montenegro will not start the World War III.

Lies have no legs. Instead, the have ugly little bat wings. They travel fast and far.
They are contagious and poisonous.
I can’t stand lies and those who lie. There is a special little place for liars in the afterlife, for those who were fortunate to escape justice in this life.
Truth prevails. No matter what. Always.
Last week I engaged in a small talk with a colleague from Austin, Texas. Somehow we touched the topic of my origin. I proudly announced that I am from Montenegro.
Suddenly he closed down and nodded. I could feel the tension so I asked: “Have you ever been to Montenegro? It’s so beautiful!”
“Nope, I have actually heard it’s quite dangerous. The people are known to be aggressive”.
Whaaaat?!
I wanted to defend Montenegro but then I thought — in doing so I may be perceived as an “aggressive defender”. Therefore, I let it be — for now.
Later that evening I started my research. Where has this belief come from? i Found a statement made by no other than the know-it-all Mr. Donald Trump.
In 2018 during an interview with Trump on Fox News a host Tucker Carlson asked him why the U.S. should abide by the rules of the NATO and defend Montenegro if (theoretically)it is attacked.
“Why should my son go to Montenegro to defend it from attack?” Carlson asked. “Why ?”
“I understand what you’re saying,” Trump replied. “I’ve asked the same question.”
“Montenegro is a tiny country with very strong people… they have aggressive people. They may get aggressive, and congratulations, you’re in World War III.”
What does Trump have against Montenegro?! Where did he get the idea that Montenegrin people were “very aggressive,” no less that they might start World War III?!
The whole statement is wrong — obviously. This ridiculous statement has been spread around for too long — three years. It’s time to teach Mr. Trump and the poor souls which have been poisoned a thing or two about Montenegro, it’s people, history and geography.
Montenegrin’s Are NOT Aggressive
Montenegro has never occupied a single country. The whole history of Montenegro is a history of fighting for it’s freedom.During the reign of Ottoman Empire — Montenegrin has been fighting for it’s independence. They have been occupied by countless world powers.
They have always fought in defense wars rather than wars of conquest.
After World War I, then-Kingdom of Montenegro was forced to become part of the new, larger Kingdom of Yugoslavia.World War II brought more trouble, when the Kingdom of Yugoslavia was occupied by the Axis powers. Then, on July 13, 1941, the Montenegrin people rose up against Nazi Germany and its fascist Italian ally in the first armed uprising in occupied Europe, liberating most of their imprisoned part of the occupied Kingdom of Yugoslavia.
Ultimately, though, the rebellion was crushed and the country was reoccupied.
After the war, Montenegro became one of the six constituent republics of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia , and the capital was renamed Titograd in honor Yugoslav President Josip Tito. Forty years later, after the dissolution of the SFRY, Montenegro remained part of a smaller Federal Republic of Yugoslavia along with Serbia.
Then, in the mid-90s, came the horrific Bosnian and Croatian Wars.
However Montenegro’s role during those wars was an asylum and a haven of peace.Montenegro took in over 120,000 refugees from the other states!
Finally, the resilient spark of Montenegrin freedom rose again on May 21, 2006, by which time the long-suppressed nation was one half of the state of Serbia and Montenegro.
On that day Montenegro regained it’s independence in a pretty ‘aggressive’ way — in a peaceful, democratic referendum supported by the international community. And so she remains today.
Montenegro Will NOT Start A World War III
Montenegro has not started a war before. Montenegro is a tourist safe haven and one of the safest countries in the world for families. The crime rates in Montenegro are nearly non existent.
Montenegrins are naturally a wonderfully warm and welcoming people — one of the many benefits of having such a diverse melting pot of cultures and ethnicity in a single country.
People will happily go out of their way to help you and families in particular are highly treasured guests. Traditional Montenegrin culture is very family-focused, with large families and multi-generational living the norm in less developed areas, making this an ideal place to come with children.
Montenegro whole economy is based on hospitality and tourism. It has become a tourist hot spot, is trying to avoid conflict on its soil, or anywhere in the vicinity. With its long Adriatic coastline and rugged mountain ranges, Montenegro has come to increasingly rely on tourism for revenue any any instability in the neighborhood would cause serious problems for Montenegro and it’s residents.
The last thing Montenegro would do is start a war.
Montenegro is NOT Tiny
Mr. Trump can you define tiny?
Montenegro is a small country. But tiny? I am not sure about that.
There are 9 European countries that are smaller than Montenegro, including several which can be called tiny — Vatican City (0.17 sq. miles) or Monaco (0.78)
Trump has told many lies. Too often, too big. I wonder who has taught him that?
“If you tell a big enough lie and tell it frequently enough, it will be believed.” ― Adolf Hitler
No More Lies
My only hope is for this article to travel fast and far on it’s solid, evidence based legs — and reach those who have been poisoned once again by Mr. Trump’s fabrications.
Montenegro is a country with very strong, warm, hospitable and welcoming people… People who treasure freedom, independence and family. They would never initiate any conflict.
Now — that’s better.
Thank you for reading and spreading the truth.
