Dear Time,

Sometimes I Love You, Sometimes Not So Much

You are a mystery to me. I try to make the most of you- mixing things that will feed my soul with work. I know how little of you there and yet some days I just want to ignore you and lay in bed. I call those self-care days but do I take too many?

Every year, I try to get better with you. I try to utilize you to the key things in this season of life. I love your seasons, how they move- not the same story every day but lessons abound in each span.

Yet, as hard as I try, I often don’t get you. I try to do the top three things of the day, look up and your sun has set.

I won’t stop trying to reign you in.

Thank you for reading my work today. I appreciate the time given. I was inspired for this work by Lucy Dan 蛋小姐 (she/her/她) and the poem/prompt “Why am I always in a rush?”
