“Dear Mr. Ev Williams,”
Thank you for your recent reply.”

February 17, 2021
Dear Mr. Williams,
Thank you so much for your recent reply to my last open letter to you. I know technically you didn’t write me back but you did send me what I needed. Really, what else is there? You’re busy. I have needs here on the platform. I ask. You answer. Sheesh, I made you sound like a god just then. I don’t think that’s a bad thing personally.
Anyway, I have a new request if I may be so bold. As an editor of eight publications, four of my own, and four of someone else’s, I find that my notifications are out of control. Often times I miss things that were important. I don’t suppose there is a way to create something like a switch off/switch on feature?
Hear me out.
Say I wanted to work in the plan·e·tar·y queue only, there should be some way to check a box on that publication to say that’s the one I want to work in. That way notifications for the publication, and that publication alone, will be active. The other seven publications would offer me nothing more than radio silence.
Sort of like when you log into your email first thing in the morning. You get all of these notifications, alarms, bells, and whistles going off letting you know what’s been going on since the last time you checked in. If you don’t log in, no notifications. God, I hope that made sense.
I’d like to thank you for the additional option in the comments section. That’s perfect and works so well. Thank you! That feature has been a blessing. Now I don’t look like I’ve written 15,898,452,368 articles in six months.
I know I’m forgetting something but it’s getting late here and I’m getting sleepy. If I can remember what the other feature was that would be a great help I’ll just pop in again and say hello.
Regards,
Ms. Terry L. Cooper
