Dear Medium, I Want to Clap For My Own Work

Hello? Is anyone there? Yes, I want to be the first person to 50-clap my writing EVERY TIME

I’m my biggest fan. That’s right, me. But I’m not allowed to show it. I am clapless. Every time I head to the bottom of a creative, thoughtful, sometimes sassy heap of words I’ve just assembled into nonsense that I LOVE to clap myself sultry with a bit of self-care, I am stopped in my tracks by a heart-stabbing WHITE ON BLACK pop-up.

You cannot applaud your own story

Why can’t I applaud my own story, Medium?
