THANK YOU NOTES RESTFUL HAPPINESS WRITING PROMPT

Dear Me, You Are Worthy of Restful Happiness

A heartfelt letter to everyone who is feeling guilty for taking time for themselves.

“Activity and rest are two vital aspects of life. To find a balance in them is a skill in itself. Wisdom is knowing when to have rest, when to have activity, and how much of each to have. Finding them in each other — activity in rest and rest in activity — is the ultimate freedom.”

~Sri Ravi Shankar

Dear me,

Take a deep breath and just relax. I am here to tell you it is ok to rest.

You used to feel guilty for taking time off to simply relax. Time without doing anything but just being. Just being present and enjoying the moment. A well-deserved moment for yourself. Not because you did something to deserve it. No. You deserve it simply because you exist.

You are a human being, not a human doing. You came here to enjoy your brief existence on Mother Earth and to enrich other people’s lives as well. You are worthy of taking a break to reset and rejuvenate. To be alone with yourself and to connect to your inner being.

When you were a child you didn’t feel guilty for playing and enjoying yourself. You were actually the happiest whilst doing it. Your heart was bursting with joy every time you were on a holiday.

So why do you feel guilty now for taking time for yourself? Why do you always feel like you have to be busy and fuss about something?

Is it because society made you believe so? Yes, we live in a consumerist society where being busy is glorified, but all it’s doing is run you down.

It disconnects you from your joyous self.

You need to allow your yin energy to also enjoy its rightful place next to your yang. I know and completely support your willingness to do amazing things in this lifetime and help other people.

But your softness, flow, patience, surrender, love, empathy, and ‘being’ are desperately trying to catch your attention. They got pushed aside by a self-imposed imbalance which is detrimental to both your physical and mental health.

I believe you are now awakening to something bigger than yourself. To this side of yours, you’ve been neglecting for the longest time. Which is gently asking you to give yourself permission to rest.

Remember, my dear one:

You can’t pour from an empty cup.

You are exactly where you need to be. You took all steps possible in the direction of your dreams. The only thing to do now is to rest. Just enjoy yourself and know that it’s ok to take this time to rest.

You are worthy of restful happiness!

Love,

Sorina Raluca

I would love to know if you found a proper balance between your yin and yang and if you allow yourself to rest without feeling guilty about it.

Thank you for reading! I appreciate you!
