I am glad you and your daughter will benefit from the last ten years of feminism.

However, your statement the first woman presidential nomination for a major political party happened within the last ten years is historically incorrect.

Please, look up 1964 Republican nominee Margaret Madeline Chase Smith.

The problem is not only that it is false, but it’s racist.

The Medium’s Editors’ and your erasure of Shirley Anita Chisholm’s 1972 bid in an article about equality is an example of the reasons I am a womanist and not a feminist.

Mistakes happen, but this is glaring.

Now, that you know better, please do better.
