Dear future me,

I have been dying to tell you You will meet the love of your life he will be everything you thought he would be

He would take care of you notice when you are down try his best to make you smile again

He would look at you when you are asleep as if you are what he only needs

Next to a box of books that you always plan to read there are bits and bots of souvenirs he bought you Peanuts from somewhere tropical hair ties from a small boutique in a small town notebooks that you have been using since he gifted it to you one of them is green your favourite colour for the longest time

You would not look at the clock when you are with him as time is precious and you don’t want it to pass so quickly You would look at his fingernails in the morning when he is still asleep and look at his face as if it is made by Rodin

He wakes up and catches you staring he kisses you before he gets up to wear his cotton shirt You would walk to him and kiss him before you start a music video and invite him to dance with you

He hugs you from behind while you notice there is blood on his fingers You get a band-aid and warp it around his finger and kiss the band-aid

You remember your horse in the backyard You give her breakfast Then you find your lover left a sealed envelope on the table You open it to find a love letter from him again
