Dear Fall A Letter To You I Write

Please give the trees some leaves

Orange leaves and pink flowers, Presenting a riot blazing with hues, What a combination they make, Strewn all over the path I walk on.

Shall I look at you or the ground, A letter I write to you dear Fall, Please give back to the trees, A few leaves for them to smile.

Today the trees are flowering, Tomorrow they will be on the ground, While I watch, the wind is blowing, The leaves are falling one by one.

The trees and plants are barren, Winter is close and coming soon, Give them few clothes to cover them, or they will shrivel in the cold.

A letter I write to you dear Fall, Have mercy and protect them, The beautiful flowers and leaves, I pray in the cold winter, stay alive.

In India, we have a short Fall- (Autumn). It is either winter or summer. Fall is relatively for a very short period and so is spring. All the leaves begin to fall. In my own garden, the crotons shed their leaves right in front of me. The trees outside began to drop the leaves and the flowers and the ground was really colorful but the plant became barren. I took several pictures also and actually prayed that Fall should not take away all the beauty of the plants and trees.

My niece, Jessica Singh sent me some beautiful pictures that she had taken just outside her house in the Fall season and this picture was just perfect and much better than mine. So when Lucy The Eggcademic (she/her) said that I should write a letter to Fall. There I was. I wrote this poem.

Thank you, Lucy The Eggcademic (she/her) for the prompt. Please see the details below
