A poem, by Fọlábòmí Àmọ̀ó

Dear beautiful sky, Fading out, In its twilight;

Hanging on, To the last rays, Of sunshine.

Dear beautiful sky; Enshrouding the sun, As it recedes, Into the clouds.

Going dark, As the light, Drains out of your eyes.

Dear beautiful sky; You are a sight. To admire, Day and night.

A colourful display, Of stars and fire.

Dear beautiful sky, I look up to you; Tonight.

As elegant; As the first day, Of my life.

For even if, The light goes out, On the horizon;

I shall still see, The radiance, In your eyes.
