Days of Writing

A free verse poetry response to ravyne hawke’s “carpe diem”

The days the words flow Are the days to put all things aside, These are days of nurture, Days of frenzied scribbling down Or relentless taping of the keys Until they are part of your fingers, Fused with your imagination and experience, To not let the words escape, ever.

Seizing every idea as they come to mind, Feeling with your heart, emotions coursing Through to your fingertips absorbing through your eyes, All in harmony, all in unison on a special day unlike Other days. You are the wordsmith of your own world, Revealing to others through your wisdom of words Numerous experiences and emotions to encounter. Carpe Diem Scripturam.
