Daydreaming
A poem of time slipping
Daydreaming a Poem
Daydreaming Always scheming My mind is a movie …streaming… skipping… …stuck… deleting scenes, causing chaos, switching themes
Wishing I could step inside, find the places that I hide Be the director of my days, in line, in charge of finding ways
Staying focused, making moments, not a passerby…
I own this
Not a pawn in life’s chess game No method actor bent on fame No more shadows, no more haze, no more lost girl in a maze
But then I wake up — reality The daily grind that’s shaping me Each slide of time a step away from who I thought I’d be today…
