Day 56 of 💯: Shower Thoughts

💯 STORY CHALLENGE

Photo by Bence Balla-Schottner on Unsplash

I am one of the most successful men on the planet. I have won countless awards, started dozens of businesses, and discovered the cure for cancer. I’m also the biggest fraud humanity has ever known.

I so desperately want to come clean and tell the world who I really am, but no one would believe me. They would laugh at my “joke” or think I lost my mind. I never developed a cure for cancer. I can barely figure out high school math.

My shower thoughts are not my own. In fact, they come from my shower itself.

“Come hither, Gregory. Let me tell you about a design for a perpetual motion machine,” my shower’s gruff voice echoed through the house. “Enter my being and absorb my knowledge.”

The muscles in my body tensed. Will I ever be able to come clean?

My pick from the 💯 Story Challenge

FJCMontenegro wrote a great piece, “Breathe”, about an android and what it means to be ‘human’.

Inspired by Zane Dickens’💯 Story Challenge. I’ve made it over halfway now! Hopefully, I can make it to the end of this challenge. I will self-publish my work instead of submitting it to a publication.
