Day 2 of 💯: Fate Gone Wrong
💯 STORY CHALLENGE

He twisted my fate between his fingers. A small piece of metal and gunpowder pieced together to form a deadly combination.
I sighed deeply as I slouched in the chair. If there was anything to be learned about working for the mafia it was that screw ups were not tolerated. I took a long draw on the cigarette nestled between my fingers. I blew a cloud of smoke out trying to calm my nerves. Maybe if I’m lucky it’ll all be over quick.
The metallic click of the pistol echoed loudly in my ear. I froze where I sat as the embers gently glowed from my smoke. I was foolish to think he would allow me to finish this. I closed my eyes and leaned back as we prepared to turn my brain into a pollock style painting against the wall.
Inspired by Zane Dickens💯 Story Challenge. Hopefully I make it to the end but I will make a slight change to the rules. I plan to self publish my work instead of a Medium publication.
