Day 14 of 30 Days Writing Challenge About How I Spent My Day
Day 14 of Personal Tales: Let’s keep the ball rolling

There comes a time in your life when you’re left with no option but to surrender to what life has to offer you.
You finally stop resisting and let yourself get engulfed by the flow of acceptance.
No more fights no more pushback.
Mere acceptance.
A few years back I landed in a position where everyone around me stopped listening to my pity telltales.
Friends and lovers moved away.
I was sore for a long time and thought of starting a new life with the same old me. But the patterns repeated.
To a point where there was nothing left for me but to have a deeper look within, was my external life the reflection of the mess that was within?
Was it their fault, or did I need a hard reset from my existing self?
Well, the answer was a mix of both.
For all the years I lived in worry, caused due to some initial distress in my life.
Today, I’ve dissolved all the negativity I held against my tough start.
Maybe it was needed to mold me into who I am today.
A year of silent introspection swallowed me up, I became quieter and quieter. There were days alike, just doing things that let me relax.
Somewhere I was being healed.
It was possible only after a state of complete surrender.
Now I finally feel rejuvenated!
Let’s spiral to how my day was —
- How did I start my day?
- What did I eat?
- What did I accomplish?
- Where did I mess up?
- How did I end my day?
How did I start my day?
After 15 minutes of my head trying to convince myself to not go for the yoga class.
I managed to get out of the bed, freshen up and get ready for an hour long yoga.
Reached 5 minutes late and started with the warmup, finished the class with Shavasana and Bhramari pranayama ( humming sound of a bee) that induced relaxation and is also know as DRT — Deep Relaxation Technique.
Got back home, went for a 15 minute walk and got ready after taking a nice warm shower with a few drop of frankincense oil and bathing salts.
Put on a comfy tracksuit and headed straight to the meditation session with my trainer.
She gave me some organic cut guavas, it was a sweet gesture that also helped me hold my hunger.
Worked from home and started my day at 10:30 a.m.
What did I eat?
Breakfast — Dry roasted foxnuts, handful of blanched almonds and walnuts with a cup of tea.
Breakfast Time — 10:00 a.m.
Lunch — Cut fruits — mango, dragon fruit, bananas and pomegranate with a small bowl of roasted peanuts.
Lunch Time — 1:30 p.m.
Dinner — Grilled cottage cheese and stir fried pumpkin.
Dinner Time — 6:30 p.m.
What did I accomplish?
Two hours of writing in the flow state consisting of personal journalling and the daily blog series.
Spoke my heart out to mum.
Maintained my cool and did not lose temper on petty issues with a friend.
Where did I mess up?
Fell into the trap of procrastination and couldn’t finish the To-Do list.
Felt prey to my sensitivity towards people’s issues.
How did I end my day?
Put on a relaxation music from brain.fm that helped me relieve my headache.
Took a thirty minute walk in the moonlight, with sitar music playing in the background.
Brushed my teeth, felt grateful to everything the divine has blessed me with and tucked myself in the bed.
