Day 1 of the New Experiment

An MPP Poem

Well they did it, we survived! But wait look and see —

My poetry earnings are down by over half, this can’t be!

I saw that you read, and I saw that you viewed, I even saw claps, Goddess bless you!

And yet here we are, at the end of the day my plans and dreams of car payments,

seem so far away, I was just learning to thrive in this place

I guess as a poet, I will take what comes With quiet sad grace.

Just a friendly reminder. Support poetry. Support the small stuff. We are quality. Do we really want everyone to just write about sex, money, and productivity? Or can we have a space for poets, the arts, and the things you maybe used to think about liking in college, right? Head on over, adopt a poet or two. Follow us. Share us. Talk to us. We like you.
