FICTION | FANTASY | WOLF-GIRLS
David Hawke Joins the Clan
A continuation of the documentary that the world will never see.

The preceding days dragged on at a snail’s pace. David was offered little comfort while the wolf-girl clan he had stumbled upon decided his fate. The rope bindings that restrained him to the tree had long since rubbed his skin raw and hunger ravaged his starved body.
One of the kinder, more caring, of the wolf girls offered him some hope for compassion. He had learned her name to be Kogai, a brown-haired girl that worked as the clan’s healer. Throughout the day, she would bring various soothing creams to try and ease his pain.
“Why were you helping me?” David asked, his voice heavy and tired.
“All souls are worth saving,” Kogai said softly. She gently worked the cold cream under the rope to soothe David’s wounds.
“Would the others get mad that you were here?”
She was silent for a moment before she answered. “It would have been best if they didn’t know.”
Despite her actions, he was overall disliked by the rest of the clan. Aiya, a strawberry blonde-haired girl loudly voiced her displeasure of David whenever the opportunity presented itself and openly fantasized about committing harm toward him.
With a wild look in her eye, Aiya loudly exclaimed, “You’re like a rotten fish, unwanted and useless. I’d paint the snow with your blood but that would be a waste of my energy.”
Aiya and Kogai were like two sides to a leaf. Although very similar in appearance when you viewed the entire tree they were vastly different when separated from the rest. It was an interesting dynamic that led David to believe the clan was more human-like than wolf.
By far, his most frequent visitor was Okiba, a curly brown haired girl. He suspected she was the clan’s leader because she handled a more reserved and calm attitude. She would often interrogate him about where he came from but as the days went by her line of questioning shifted from nervous questioning to wonder-filled inquires.
“What is the tower of Eiffel?” Okiba sat cross-legged.
“The Eiffel Tower?” David chuckled. “It’s a magnificent structure that scrapes the sky. Far taller than any tree around here.”
“What purpose does it serve?”
“Well, it really doesn’t serve a purpose. It was made for people to come and see because nothing was ever built so tall before.”
“That doesn’t make sense,” she said with her face scrunched. “Those valuable resources could have been used elsewhere for more important projects.”
“Yeah, you’re probably right. I guess humans like to see what they can do. Really push our limits.”
“They’re wasteful,” Okiba sneered and walked away.
David hung his head in defeat. Forced back to his prison of solitude he would try to analyze the wolf girls and hope to better understand them and their bizarre way of life. Despite the mental exercise the loneliness had begun to wear and madness was nigh upon him.
“You look rough, kid.” A rough voice stirred David from his trance. He scanned the snow in search of the source of the voice but his attempts proved futile. Only a pudgy gray pigeon stared back at him.
“Hey, I’m right here. Look at me when I’m talking to you,” the pigeon somehow managed to snap his wings at David.
“You can talk?” He asked surprised.
“They are a clan of hot babes with furry ears and you can’t believe a pigeon can talk?” He scoffed.
“Well then, what do you want Mr. Pigeon?”
“Whoa! Mr. Pigeon was my father. You can call me Frank.”
“Okay, Frank,” David said clearly confused. “Why are you here?”
“Blizzard is rolling in soon and you look like a corvette in outer space.”
“What?”
“You don’t belong here and you’re gonna die. Do you want my help or not?” Frank snapped angrily.
“Yes of course!” David said hopefully.
“Cool. I know this hot chick that you can make a deal with. First, you have to draw this circle thing…”
“I’m kind of tied up right now,” he interrupted.
Frank sighed, “You’re so needy. Fine.” He held out his wings, a pill in each one. “Eat the blue pill and you won’t wake up. You’ll probably dream or something and you won’t suffer through the storm. But the red one…”
David glanced about uneasily. He wasn’t sure how, or where, Frank had gotten a pair of black sunglasses.

“Take the red pill and you stay here in your little harem and see how wild things can get.”
David’s mind raced with thoughts. Not even a week ago he never would have believed the idea of hybrid humans and now he was having a conversation with a pigeon. The chance of exploring his discovery further was too much to bear.
“I’ll take the red one,” David said confidently.
“Dope,” Frank said and flicked the pill into David’s mouth.
David gagged and choked on the pill. It was large and gritty in his mouth and somehow reminded him of eating sand. Then waves of nausea began to wash over him and the world felt as if it spun.
“What did you do to me?” David said through slurred words.
“You’ll thank me later,” Frank said before David blacked out.
He wasn’t sure how much time had passed as his senses slowly returned. Frank was nowhere to be found as he blinked his heavy eyelids. Then he noticed something odd, his arms were covered in thick fur and elongated claws protruded from his fingertips. The realization hit him like a ton of bricks.
