Abstract

smiling all the time looks great in front of the cameras, but it is not the most appropriate if we pressure ourselves to do it just to look good with others. Our heart knows what we really want, and that is why many times it causes us great anxiety to do things with which we do not feel really comfortable. Yes, life is not an eternal pleasure trip, although many would like it to be. Our existence is full of difficult moments; of dark hours that will test our ability to survive on this turbulent planet. So why make things even harder for ourselves?

Photo by Mohamed Nohassi on Unsplash

Let us work day by day to heal the wounds of our past; for leaving behind those memories that don’t let us move on, but let’s not wear ourselves out pretending perfection.

Darkness Within Us

How to live with these dark feelings?

We all have our fair share of demons that we must fight from the day we are born. As much as many see themselves overflowing with happiness in their photos uploaded to social networks, the truth is that we all carry a good amount of dark feelings and painful memories on our shoulders. From a very young age we are taught to put those dark feelings in a far corner of our spirit, to be able to show those around us our best face. This, although in its money it might seem ideal, in the long run it can cause us severe problems, and it can even cause us anxiety for everything that we carry inside and we cannot vent. Yes, smiling all the time looks great in front of the cameras, but it is not the most appropriate if we pressure ourselves to do it just to look good with others. Our heart knows what we really want, and that is why many times it causes us great anxiety to do things with which we do not feel really comfortable. So why make things even harder for ourselves?
