Dark Eyes Void of Love

Unreachable beauty

He’s brilliant I can tell right off Eyes as dark as the night pull me in I’m in love

He’s incapable of love He tells me that But someday he says Maybe someday

I’m older and I still love him He sees me differently now Like a goddess Hope works her way into my heart

He pounds his fist on his desk Stares at me, beautiful black eyes I don’t understand his anger But beg him to love me

Tangled sheets Fire, tears, breathing, sighing, screaming The night is dark and I’m in love He feels nothing, he tells me

He feels nothing But maybe one day Just not this time Not this time

He’s depressed Too sad Sick, undeserving I love him still

He moves away, far away I’m lost, destroyed I try to move on I can’t, I won’t

He found someone He’s in love I’m shattered He’s in love

He’s back His love wasn’t true He holds my hand Dark eyes light my soul

Tangled sheets Fire, tears, breathing, sighing, screaming The night is black and I’m in love Again, he feels nothing Again and again and again He feels nothing

I move on But I never move on
