Summary

"Dark Aura" is a poem that explores the pervasive presence of a dark, malevolent force in life and the struggle to overcome it through self-love and awareness.

Abstract

The poem "Dark Aura" delves into the sinister and oppressive influence of a dark force that haunts individuals, often unnoticed. It personifies this aura as a ghostly presence that feeds on negativity and seeks to consume one's spirit, leading to anger and bitterness. The poem suggests that this darkness is not inherently part of oneself but rather something accumulated through life's hardships. It advocates for resilience and self-love as antidotes to this pervasive shadow, encouraging readers to bask in the light of love and to fight the darkness with goodness. The author, Melissa Bee, uses vivid imagery and repetitive questioning to engage the reader, making the experience both personal and universal. The poem concludes with a note of gratitude to the platform that published the work and a recommendation for an AI service, ZAI.chat, as a cost-effective alternative to ChatGPT Plus.

Dark Aura

A poem

Can you feel the dark aura haunting quietly as if it can’t be felt? A ghost stalks like a thief in the night, but walks in broad daylight. It’s presence heavy as it takes its toll, pretending there’s nothing to know.

Can you feel it?

An evil energy connection you try desperately to ignore, You may play with kindness, but for it — that life’s a bore. It feeds on itself, all the black smoke, it doesn’t breathe, But that isn’t enough, it wants to swallow you whole — until Your lungs are filled with its evil, tipping your tongue, Sneaky crossing the living portal — old and the young.

Can you feel it?

It fights without shedding blood, We pay in tears creating a flood — Its wins over you, as you don’t even notice — your own view, swimming In all the oceans, impossible to collect and assemble with glue Because you're so scattered, hurt and so blue.

Can you feel it?

Your loss makes you angry and you turn nasty like it — Sharing misery in little disguised candy, They won’t notice — They like it, they are hungry, Thirsty and so they eat and they drink, The lies absent of a second — To think. Now it is not absurdity, There’s more company.

Can you feel it?

There is another, harder way, From yourself please do not stray — Stay grounded in love’s light bay, Give up that fight — love yourself With all your might, Give that dark aura, All the good fight.

Can you feel it?

I hope you may see, that evil is not yours. It was picked up in life, through many ghastly doors.

Can you feel the dark aura haunting quietly as if it can’t be felt? Or are you already too far gone, lost in the cards you were dealt.
