Dancing in the Dark

A Free Verse Poem

Photo by Oleg Gospodarec on Unsplash (cropped)

we’ve come to it, the day when darkness peaks and envelops our hemisphere in the dimmest of shrouds, the longest night of the year. we all reach a point in our journey, when light fades and leaves us in the gloom. not even the starry skies can be of any help. yet despair, we should not, for though we may find ourselves at our lowest, we know that tomorrow will shine a little brighter, along with the next day, and the one after that. so, i choose to face this night dancing in the dark.

As always, a huge THANK YOU for taking the time to read my poem. Without you, my voice would be a whisper floating in the air.
