Graham Sleeps
Dancing Frenetically
Within A Dream

OWW! ARGH! OUCH!
Too much time spent on the couch.
CRAMP!
Reach for the table lamp.
Shake it off. Rub it down.
Sleeps’ reward; I grimace, then I frown.
Happens every single time, I don’t stretch or warm up, Before sleep, thinking of a rhyme. Once I even launched the little pup.
Yes, I dream quite frequently when sleeping, Still thinking much, my mind keeps on seeping. Overwhelmed, so many thoughts intrude, My dreams eventually float in, so very rude.
Sometimes, I feel myself soaring like an eagle. In others I’m running, baying, not unlike a beagle. It’s the ones in which I am dancing frenetically, Many others in which I am engaged energetically.
My body’s muscles dance and spasm too, As if I had to jump up quickly for the loo. There is no defense to this imagined steam, Since I am fully trapped, within a dream.
For all my peeps, As Graham sleeps.
