Summary

Dancing Elephant Press (DEP) is seeking a Marketing Wizard volunteer to help grow their publication, which focuses on positivity and community support.

Abstract

Dancing Elephant Press is actively looking for a dedicated individual to fill the role of a Marketing Wizard on a volunteer basis. The publication emphasizes the importance of positivity and community in driving growth and success. With an increasing number of subscribers, readers, writers, and engagement, DEP is aiming to build more momentum. The ideal candidate would contribute to this growth, with the role requiring a minimum commitment of one hour per week or month. DEP operates without a formal business plan, instead favoring regular meetings to discuss strategies for advancement. The commitment to the mission statement is personal for the team, with a strong emphasis on mutual support and learning within the DEP community.

Opinions

  • The DEP team values the impact of their mission statement, believing it to be meaningful and action-oriented.
  • They are open to flexible contributions, suggesting that even an hour a week from a volunteer can make a significant difference.
  • DEP is willing to consider a division of labor where one person contributes ideas and another executes them.
  • The team operates on a collaborative model, with a focus on regular discussions rather than a structured business plan.
  • Personal commitment to the mission is highlighted, with team members actively engaging in and contributing to the DEP community.
  • The environment at DEP is described as one where team members thrive by helping each other succeed.
  • The editor, DR Rawson, and the founder, Dr. Gabriella Korosi, express a genuine desire to be helpful and supportive within the DEP community.

Dancing Elephant Press Mission Statement by Dr. Gabriella Korosi

Grow or die has been the motto of business for a long time. However, even a great publication like ours that wants to use Positivity to drive for good and prosperity needs a little help.

Above is our mission statement. Every day, we’re moving forward, inch by inch. We’re getting more subscribers, readers, writers, views, comments, and great feedback. What we need is more momentum.

Our mission statement is not just a compilation of words that look great together.

*They’re meaningful.

*They are action-oriented and can be impactful in the minds of great people like our DEP community.

O.K., we know you’ve got questions. So do we.

Your Questions:

Q: Yes, I know marketing, but I want to write. How much of my time will this take?

A: If you can give one hour a week/month, that’s exactly sixty minutes more than we’re spending now.

Q: What if I know what should be done and someone else does the execution?

A: That might work. Let’s discuss it.

Q: Do you guys have a business plan?

A: No. We have regular meetings to discuss what’s needed, assign what’s possible, and decide what will get us to the next level.

My personal commitment:

I write occasionally for other publications. Not everything I write is suited for DEP. However, 90% or more is. I write a lot. Hey, I’m older, and I have something to say that might help.

The mission statement above resonates with me. I love the idea of us all helping one another to succeed. That’s an environment where I work the best.

Every day, I learn from you. The talent pool in DEP is simply amazing. I want to be around people like you. I choose to be here, to help, and support others in any way I can.

“How can I be helpful?”
