Summary

The website content provides a detailed guide on "Chakra Protection Exercise," focusing on the lower chakras, as a method for emotional, spiritual, and physical protection, particularly for empaths and spiritually attuned individuals.

Abstract

The article "Daily Physical & Emotional/Spiritual Protection" introduces an exercise aimed at safeguarding the lower four chakras—Root, Chi, Bridge/Manifestation, and Solar Plexus—as a means to navigate the stresses of contemporary life. It describes a visualization technique where one imagines adjusting dials and gauges to control the size and spin of these energy centers, thus creating a protective barrier. The exercise is presented as a way to harness latent abilities, enhance security, and maintain balance in a world perceived as increasingly intense and complex. The article emphasizes the importance of regular practice and provides a step-by-step guide for setting the chakras to optimal levels for personal protection.

An Exercise for Chakra Protection — Part 1: The Lower Chakras

If you wear your heart on your sleeve, are emotionally sensitized, cultivate your spiritual self and/or consider yourself an Empath, the following exercise may be helpful to you. I learned it about 15 years ago or so and I’m passing it on as it was passed on to me.

Introduction

We humans live in a very intense world. There’s more stress, tension, divisiveness than any time in recent history as memory serves. The world has become more complex and seems out-of-control. Here is one way to cope with the stress, develop skills built on our latent abilities and feel more secure.

Below is Chakra Protection Exercise — think of as a visualization metaphor inner exercise. This mode of protection is based on a 9 chakra in-body system. What’s covered in The Lower Chakras Part 1:

Overview Chakras 1–4 — Root, Chi, Bridge/Manifestation, Solar Plexus

To Begin:

After your morning meditation or before you leave your place, set aside 20 minutes for your initial foray into this exercise. Turn off your cell, or put all functions on mute, and ask others not to disturb you.

The Inner Exercise:

You can close your eyes or leave them open.

Visualize being inside an Airport Control Tower in front of 10 gauges and 10 dials (20 control devices in all). The gauges are above the dials. The 10th dial and gauge are larger than the other 9 because it is a master: it controls all other 9 dials and gauges. I usually see the gauge going from 0 to 100. In the photo, the range is 0 to 450. Volts are an electric measure and chakras have electrical correlates, so I chose this photo as the illustration. The dials are spring-loaded and correspond to the gauges. A dial is turned up all the way and released goes back towards the place that it started from. The gauge then corresponds to the action from the dial.

The dials and gauges could be in a line, or they could encircle you. Imagine sitting in a swivel chair with wheels so you can easily move to each of the 9 to 10 stations.

Default Instructions for All Chakras (unless otherwise noted)

Look at the gauge in your mind’s eye. Make a mental note of where the needle sits.

Turn the dial to the right — all the way. Watch the needle on the gauge go all the way or as open as can be. Release the dial.

Where does the indicator/needle in the gauge go back to? Is it in the same place as it was before? Higher? Or lower?

If it’s higher or lower, then that means that is the level it’s operating correctly. If it’s lower, move the dial and corresponding gauge a few degrees up. How does that feel? Uncomfortable, too vulnerable? Okay? Or just right? If it’s higher, move it down a few degrees. How does that feel? You get the idea.

Now set it a degree or two lower than the place it is now. Assuming that it felt comfortable where it was, it may feel less comfortable in the two-degree lower setting or you may feel more close with yourself. Remember, this is for your protection in the larger world, so it’s a change and changes sometimes feel different. If you haven’t felt a difference, that’s okay too. It takes some practice to know how much each chakra is open or the degree to which the chakra is open. Also, because these are your lower chakras that control unconscious processes, you may have less awareness about them or the speed of the spin and the size of the aperture or opening.

Gauge 1 / Dial 1 — Root Chakra | near the base of the spine Look at the gauge in your mind’s eye. The root chakra gauge will never read “zero”, unless your physical body is severely compromised or you’ve made a misreading. Make a mental note of where the needle sits.

Turn the dial to the right — all the way up. Watch the needle on the gauge go all the way up or as open as can be. Release the dial. This will reset the gauge if it’s on “zero”. If you continue to get “zero” readings contact a healer for help.

Refer to the Default Instructions above for setting the chakra size.

Sometimes we are unaware of the size of the spin in our chakras especially the lower ones.

Gauge 2 / Dial 2 — Chi or 2nd chakra | at the navel and corresponding place at the spine. This is the center or brain of your physical body and is often wider/more open — compared to the 1st chakra — the root. The 2nd chakra is the middle and end processes of digestion, the fuel-maker and so much more for your physical, emotional, mental and subtle spirit bodies. The chakra at the navel is more closely related to spirit, while the spin at the corresponding place along the spine is mundanely related to self or ego.

Follow the Default Instructions above for setting the chakra size. See what feels right. If you feel a little pulled in, that’s okay. You’re creating your protection zone.

It’s likely that when you set the aperture of each chakra a little lower that it may feel different because it’s not what you’re used to. You may feel safer and/or protected.

Gauge 3 / Dial 3 — Bridge 3rd chakra | towards lower abdomen just above the intestines/and along the spine. This chakra bridges to other realms outside the personal auric fields. It acts as a gate for manifestation if the upper chakras (heart through crown) are operating at higher vibrational rates. The vortex of this chakra is narrow and intense right now for many people. The chakra operates both in the body’s front and in the corresponding place along the spine.

Follow the Default Instructions above. See what feels right. If you feel safe and protected with a slightly lower setting on the opening of your chakra that’s okay.

Gauge 4 / Dial 4 — Solar Plexus 4th chakra | In the center of the body slightly below the rib cage and along the spine The solar plexus represents the self and the ego. It is the chakra that is part conscious and part unconscious. All major cords from karma usually land here. Parts of the self may be wide open unbeknownst to the individual, while the ego may be shy and withdrawn, or boisterous, often dependent on your personality’s disposition.

Follow the Default Instructions above

You can personify your 4th chakra — the solar plexus and ask it how it feels — “will this level afford me the protection I need today”. Make adjustments accordingly. Remember, you’re adjusting the opening of the chakra to make it smaller to afford some protection.

The Upper Chakras in Part Two

The Upper Chakras are:

Heart — of love and Unconditional Love Thymic — of Divine and Self Will Throat — assimilation of fuels, The Cycle of Giving and Receiving 3rd Eye — Maker of light, thought and ESP Crown — Gateway to Spirit (Spirit flows down and up)
