I once learned the secret to making money. Ready?
You must set up a system that makes money while you sleep. Yup, that’s it. You only have 24 hours in a day, and you can only work a fraction of that, so you must leverage your time by using vehicles that allow you to accumulate wealth even while asleep. This means things such as real estate investment and stocks, for example.
Work smarter, not harder.
Similarly, you can make a case for doing good works. Making good causes helps us put “money” in our spiritual “bank” as well. Doing kindnesses will always come back to us in accumulating good fortune.
Nichiren Daishonin, the original Buddha, writes, “Just as flowers open up and bear fruit, just as the moon appears and invariably grows full, just as a lamp becomes brighter when oil is added, and just as plants and trees flourish with rain, so will human beings never fail to prosper when they make good causes.” (from the Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, The Third Day of the New Year).
