Cupid’s Arrows
A love poem

I set up a trap and captured Cupid I retrieved all the angel’s arrows used them to enchant the one I love and banished all their shadows
They went head over heals for me we flew to the seventh heaven they were all I ever dreamed of I was happier than ever
We traveled around the world visited our dream destinations we felt like on top of it all we surpassed our expectations
But when Cupid’s arrows ran out dark clouds started gathering was our love not real after all despite feeling so empowering?
The angel of love escaped too and now they are hunting me Cupid is pissed at me a lot made a new arrow just for me
If I am struck by that arrow I will never be loved until I die yet I’ll fall in love more easily a life sentence staying love-dry
I still hang out with the one I love though I think they want to depart they’ll break up with me any day now even before Cupid maims my heart
I should not have tampered with love but I think it is too late now the love hound angel will track me its dark arrow love will disallow
